glittered feather garland

i'm the kind of girl who likes to slip on my comfiest sweats,
drink some yummy hot cider,
and cozy up to the fire.

it just screams fall!

but what's a fire,
without a darling fireplace,
decorated with a fun fall garland?

here's how to make your very own glittered feather garland....

supplies
-glitter
-string
-scissors
 - hot glue
-spray adhesive

step by step
 1. cut out your feathers
[ i freehanded drawing and cutting them out... but you can find feather templates online to trace.]

2. prep your glitter.

3. spray your cut out feather half way up with Elmers Spray Adhesive.
[let set for 30 seconds before adding glitter.]

4. dip into glitter.

5. if the glitter doesn't evenly disperse on your feather,
add more glitter and spread around with your finger until it's evenly covered.

 6. let feathers try and set for at least 1 hour.

7. once your feathers are dry,
measure your string to the length of wherever you are hanging your garland.
add a dab of hot glue to the back of your feather and place on the string.
let dry and hang!

have fun decorating a hallway,
mantel,
or wall!
